Position: SEND Teaching Assistant (TA)
Key Stage: EYFS, KS1 & KS2
Location: Ipswich
Start date: asap
Pay: £85 – £100 per day
The role:
We are seeking enthusiastic, committed and compassionate individuals to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within primary settings. As a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA), also known as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
This role may involve working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, helping children to access the curriculum while supporting their academic, social and emotional development. You will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The applicant:
The successful applicant will:
· Hold GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or a relevant childcare qualification
· A SEND qualification is desirable but not essential
· Have experience working with children, ideally within an educational or SEND setting
· Demonstrate patience, empathy and a nurturing approach
· Be confident supporting children with a range of additional needs
· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Communicate clearly with teachers, parents and other professionals
· Be reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting pupil progress
