Position: SEN Teacher – Autism Provision
Start Date: September
Pay: Paid to scale
Contract Type: Temp to Perm

The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an SEN Teacher to work within an Autism Provision at one of our partner schools on a temp-to-perm basis. This role carries full teaching responsibilities and will be paid to scale from day one.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to secure a long-term role within a supportive and inclusive school environment, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), delivering personalised learning experiences that meet a range of additional needs.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working within SEN settings, particularly autism provisions. However, experienced instructors or unqualified teachers with strong SEN experience will also be considered.

The Applicant:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (experienced instructors/unqualified teachers with relevant SEN experience considered)
Has experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs
Will undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment
Can create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Has strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and the ability to differentiate learning effectively
Uses positive behaviour strategies and approaches to support communication and engagement
Communicates effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and external professionals
Adheres to professional education guidelines and school policies
Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and the school’s ethos and behaviour policies
Is reliable, responsible, and demonstrates strong time management skills
