Pastoral Officer

Position: Pastoral Officer
Key Stage: 3 and 4
Start date: ASAP

The role:

We are currently recruiting for a specialist in Pastoral. This role is for 6 weeks working with one of our partner schools.

We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable individual to join this school as part of a team of Pastoral Officers. You will provide dedicated pastoral support to our students in helping them to be motivated and engaged in learning, develop their resilience and capacity to respond more confidently to challenges whilst supporting their mental health and wellbeing.

What We are Looking For
• An adaptable, caring and professional nature and be passionate about delivering high-quality pastoral and behavioural support
• Education to Level 3 including English & Maths or equivalent qualifications/experience
• The ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload
• Strong communication skills and able to communicate professionally with colleagues and external teams
• Significant and successful experience of working with children across the age and ability ranges with challenging behaviour, emotional needs and complex wellbeing needs
• The ability to demonstrate effective strategies to achieve inclusion of students at risk of social exclusion
• A track record of using behavioural data to help develop tailored support plans
