Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Key Stage: EYFS, KS1 & KS2
Start Date: ASAP

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

As an HLTA, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning within the school. You may be required to work alongside class teachers, provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, and lead lessons or activities in the absence of the class teacher.

The successful candidate will be confident working with children of different abilities and be able to create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment. You may also be required to support pupils with SEND and help them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Applicant
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or within a similar education setting.

You should have:

A good standard of English and Maths, ideally GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or an appropriate equivalent qualification.
Previous experience working within a school or educational setting.
Experience supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
The confidence to lead lessons, activities or interventions when required.
The ability to support pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider school team.
A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children.
An appropriate HLTA, teaching assistant, childcare or education-based qualification is desirable. SEND experience or qualifications would also be advantageous but are not essential.
