Position: Cover Supervisor
Key Stage: 3, 4 & 5
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £95– £110 per day
The Role:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, committed, and reliable individuals to join our schools as Cover Supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable classroom experience or pursue a career within education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-set lesson materials, ensure pupils remain engaged and on task, and maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Strong classroom management skills and confidence leading groups of students are essential, as you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress and behaviour throughout the school day.
The Applicant:
Hold GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or a relevant childcare qualification
Be confident managing a classroom independently
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider school team
Be adaptable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning
Have a genuine interest in supporting young people in their education
Previous experience working with young people is desirable; however, personality, reliability, and a positive attitude are equally important.
