Chief Executive Officer

South East Essex

Salary: £110,225 – £118,535 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead an ambitious education organisation in South East Essex into its next phase of development

The Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic leadership across the organisation, working closely with the Board of Trustees, Executive Team, staff and wider community.

A key part of the role will be creating a culture of ambition, inclusion, integrity, innovation and continuous improvement,

You will also act as the organisation’s Accounting Officer, ensuring effective stewardship of public funds and compliance with all statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and sustain the organisation’s vision, values, culture and strategic direction.
Manage multiple budgets across setting with different financial demographics
Champion high standards of teaching, learning and curriculum provision.
Maintain our culture of collaboration, innovation and evidence informed practice
Promote a culture of high performance, wellbeing and accountability.
About You

We are looking for an outstanding values-led leader with a proven track record of delivering meaningful improvement within education.

You will be a values driven collaborator  with excellent communication skills committed to educational equity inclusion and system change.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

Successful senior leadership experience within education.
A proven record of improving educational outcomes.
Experience of financial and operational leadership.
Experience working effectively with governing boards or trustees.
Experience managing organisational growth.
Experience of MAT leadership, supporting trust growth or organisational expansion, national leadership, or influencing wider educational policy and sector initiatives would be advantageous.
