Apprenticeships

Over the past 5 years we have employed over 50 apprentices, with this number continuing to grow.

The practical work experience gained alongside formal qualifications has been invaluable, and we’ve help our apprentices achieve qualifications in Business Administration, Customer Service, Recruitment Resourcing and Digital Marketing. Better still, many apprentices have gone on to become full members of the Athona team.

Development paths

We have defined paths for the three main career areas within our business.

Sales career path

Joining us as a Resourcer or Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will work alongside one of our Recruitment Consultants who share their knowledge with you. From day one you will represent the Athona brand, sourcing candidates and working with your consultant to place them in NHS and private sector roles.

With a bespoke training programme, regular feedback and coaching you can expect to hit your targets and move up our career development framework, taking you to the next level of responsibility and beyond.

Business development path

Joining us as an Account Manager, you will work within a defined geographical area to develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, and to win new business.

Working collaboratively with our recruitment consultants, you will help to shape the future of our business. With targets to meet and a bespoke training plan to support you, your success will be rewarded as you move up the career development framework.

Compliance

Joining as a maintenance officer in our compliance team offers the perfect balance of utilising administrative and customer service skills.
You’ll focus on ensuring that our candidates are always fully compliant, prepared to start their role and feel well supported.

Progression to a compliance officer role or beyond will mean taking on more responsibility and a more diverse workload. This comes with bigger opportunities, rewards and the potential to develop new skills and qualifications.
