Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Key Stage: EYFS, KS1 & KS2
Location: Thurrock
Start date: asap
Pay: £85 – £100 per day
The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, committed and compassionate individuals to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within primary school settings. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
This role may involve working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum while supporting their academic, social and emotional development. You will play an important role in creating an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Applicant
• Hold GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or a relevant childcare qualification
• An SEN qualification is desirable but not essential
• Have experience working with children, ideally within an education or SEN setting
• Demonstrate patience, empathy and a nurturing approach
• Be confident supporting children with a range of additional needs
• Work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Communicate clearly with teachers, parents and other professionals
• Be reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting pupil progress
