Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Chelmsford
Start date: ASAP
The role:
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and reliable individuals to support learning in the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be working in schools to supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task. You will manage whole classes, deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, and maintain a positive learning environment, supporting pupils’ academic progress and behaviour throughout the school day.
The applicant:
The successful applicant is expected to have maths and English (GCSE grade C/4 and above) or alternatively a suitable childcare qualification. Experience and personality are equally desirable. The ability to work confidently and independently, as well as collaboratively with teaching and support staff, is essential to ensure continuity of learning and effective classroom management in the absence of the class teacher.
