The role:
An SEN Teaching Assistant, sometimes known as an Learning Support Assistant (LSA), works in schools to provide assistance for teachers in delivering an exciting and engaging curriculum often working on a 1 to 1 basis for children with additional needs helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The applicant
The successful applicant is expected to have maths and English (GCSE grade C/4 and above) or alternatively a suitable childcare qualification, SEN qualification is preferred but not essential. Experience and personality are equally desirable. Being able to work in a team as well as individually is important to provide maximum support to the class teacher.
