Position: Cover Supervisor / Supply Teacher
Key stage: KS3/4/5
Location: Ipswich
Start date: ASAP
Rate of pay: £70 – £180 per day
The role:
This role is for a long-term cover supervisor who works as staff within the school supervising pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are absent. The main job of a cover supervisor is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.
The applicant:
- Classroom experience or training is an advantage, but not essential as free training can be provided
- Be able to communicate effectively with pupils and other staff members
- Able to follow the school’s behavioural policies
- Be committed to the school’s objectives and their ethos
